Michael Bouchey has an impressive academic background. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from the Colorado School of Mines, followed by a Master's degree in Science and Technology Studies from York University. He then went on to earn a Ph.D. in Science and Technology
Aside from his academic work, Michael enjoys spending his free time taking care of his two cats and engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, and caving. He is also a writer for a substack called "Taming Complexity."
At New Mexico Tech, Michael has taught a variety of classes, including the Full STEAM Ahead Lab, History of American Technology, Introduction to Science and Technology Studies, Accidents and Disasters (previously known as Unintended Consequences), Civilizational Collapse and Its Prevention, and User Experience and Research Design.
